KEYWORD TOOLS - KEYWORD SERVICES

There are an endless number of keyword generating, tracking and evaluation tools and services online. They’re all useful, though some are more versatile and advanced than others. In the most general cases for those just starting out in SEO work for the sites they are building the more advanced tools tend to be a bit daunting as there is a learning curve involved, and trying to get a client’s site optimized won’t allow you to stop your work to learn something new. Therefore you’ll just go ahead with the more basic tools and take the site in more or less the right direction. That’s good though, because as you learn you can go back and make refinements and hopefully not have to redesign the entire site’s link structure, names of all the pages, and so forth. At the very least the general tools will give a more experienced SEO the impression that you’re at least trying. I have absolutely no respect or sympathy for so called webmasters that have given the exact same title to each and every page in someone’s site, added no (or all the same) keywords to each page, and has included no meta-description concerning what each page is about. You want a web site? Well here it is – looks pretty doesn’t it? $1,000 please.

At the very least the web (ahem) “master” should have put a little real effort into getting the site actually found somewhere for something on purpose.
